Having brought up in a country with a diversity of cuisine such as Chinese cuisine,Malay cuisine,Indian cuisine,Mediterranean cuisine and etc,I have been indulged in food since a young age. Whenever I see food, let it be an image or a real one,my eyes would shine like a dog found a bone. Thy said 'eat to live, not live to eat',but who would resist to have a bite in the delicacies which are just presented in front of them? Anyway,I am not a big size eater. Even though I am a crazy food lover, but I tend to eat in small portion and I eat very slowly like a tortoise. I chew with my mouth closed and at least chew for 20 times before swallowing. (This is actually good because the food is well-digested) My family and friends used to laugh at it because I look like those who do not have an appetite. Looking at my face when I am eating is sure a torturous thing to them. My mum even teased me for I am sure get kicked out in the first stage if there is an eating competition.
Let's not talk about this topic. I love food but I know how to cook. I am not the couch potato who just virtually sit there waiting for the food to be served. I am a pretty good cook I guess. I used to have a Facebook page whom I posted my cooking and recipes, but this was during the long term holiday after my SPM examination. I am no longer activate my page because the studies and assignments keep me busy these days. From preparing the dishes to snapping the photos and uploading them to the page, definitely take some time for me to do it. Yes,I know that some of the people would criticize the act of capturing food and upload it to the social media, but in my opinion, sharing the photos of the delicacies means recommend those who have seen it to try the recipe on their own. Sharing is caring, ain't it? One thing I want to say is that I am not using professional camera to snap the photos so if the quality of photos is not good enough,I apologize first.
My love to cooking is mainly because of the reason that my mum is a good cook. During weekends or holidays,my mum and I would find time to have a good moment of preparing some 'special delicacies'. Like these. (look like those who can just be eaten in high class places, but actually the ingredients are just cheap and easily found). From top to bottom: Chicken chop with sidekicks (mashed potato and veggies),fish fillet with salad, and veggie toast.

Back in my high school, there were few of my classmates who know how to cook very well. We often brought our cooking to school and shared among the classmates. We would voice our opinions on the food. One of the easy and healthy snacks I made for my friends was bread sushi. I learnt this recipe from Internet and found it easy to prepare. So let the picture speaks the word. Taada! I used bread instead of rice which is usually been used in sushi. I should have spread some sesame seeds on the bread for attractiveness and enhancing of taste haha. Anyway,my friends who have tried it gave a big thumbs up to me. Pride surely swells up my chest at that moment. (Y)
Not only inspired by my mum.I also have one super duper good friend who is very good in cooking. I often had the chance to visit her house just to cook with her. During Chinese New Year last year,we made pineapple tart and chicken pie together. And of course, she made the most out of them,I just practically did nothing except for passing the utensils and mixing the batter. She is so amazing, she made red velvet cupcake, lasagna and etc too. I hope we can have the opportunity to cook together more often. I dont think we can sneak much time out since we are already studying.
So I think I should stop here. There's more to come! Stay tuned! :DDD
